PROCEDURE FOR ELECTION

1) The Nominating Committee will propose to the membership a slate of candidates for 2014 by email.*

Members will have approximately six weeks in which to consider the slate. During this time, they may submit an alternate slate or the names of individual candidates. (See “Submission of an Alternate Slate” document.)

2) After the six weeks, members will receive an email with the link to vote online, any alternate slate that has been proposed, and the original slate proposed by the Nominating Committee. A web link to the biographical statements about each candidate will be provided.

Members will have three to four weeks in which to complete and return the ballot.

In the interest of expediting the vote count at the meeting, you may submit your ballot and proxy form to cast your vote by mail beforehand even if you are planning to attend the Annual Meeting.

*Members for whom PEN does not have an email address, or those members who request it, will be mailed the information via USPS.
