I am a typical Southern, white country boy at heart, a student and lover of life, and a struggling Christian.

As the result of a nervous collapse brought on by the breakup of my 22-year marriage I was involved in a most unfortunate shooting incident with a partially out-of-uniform police woman.

While taking a College computer course I discovered writing and have pursued it ever since.

A Shameful Killing

Charlie checked the Jiffy Mart from the phone booth. Old Leonard would be closing soon. He tried to imagine the look on the old man’s face when he saw the gun. He pulled the pistol from his pocket and looked at it again. A .38 caliber. He didn’t know the make or model. All he
