Lauren Cerand

Lauren Cerand advises her clients on buzz, and how to get it. Her clients this year include “Upstairs at the Square” for Barnes & Noble, the Mazama Festival of Books, Anouk Markovits, Katherine Bucknell, Masha Hamilton, and Molly Crabapple. Lauren serves on the Membership Committee of PEN American Center, and donates her publicity services to the National Book Critics Circle for its annual awards. She has been called one of the “cultural gatekeepers in the literary world” by Time Out New York, and one of “50 Up-and-Coming New York Culture Makers to Watch in 2013″ by Flavorwire. Head Butler says, “she’s everything amusing and smart about the world from 1895 to 1929, plunked down in our own drab time,” and Oprah.com observes, “Lauren Cerand is a figure from another era, a sophisticated lady who wears sparkly things, eats fabulous feasts, dances at swank cocktail parties until dawn, and hobnobs with New York City’s artsy elite.
