Zangkar Jamyang

Jamyang is a literary writer and online commentator who has been vocal about the importance of teaching the Tibetan language in schools and actively criticized the Chinese government. He disappeared in June 2020, after being interrogated many times previously and his laptop and mobile phones being searched. It was reported in 2023 that Jamyang had a secret trial and was sentenced to 4 years in prison for “inciting separatism.”
