Kudakwashe Bwititi

Bwititi was arrested alongside co-filmwriter Tendai Maduwa after a screening of their film The Lord of Kush. The film tells the story of a clash of cultures between Islamic and Christian communities in Zimbabwe and the violence that follows. He and Maduwa were granted $200 bail in July 2019. In May 2021, Bwititi and his co-accused won their trial, successfully defending their work against the charges brought against them.
