Boris Bulgakov

In September 2022, a group of poets took part in the Mayakovsky Readings in Moscow, an event known for its literary and cultural significance. Bulgakov, a well-known poet, was arrested outside his home by plainclothes police officers. He was charged with participating in unauthorized activities and sentenced to 10 days in prison. After appealing the sentence, he served six days before being released. Upon his release, despite his serious medical conditions, he was handed a draft summons. As of March 2023, reports suggested that Bulgakov had fled the country to avoid further legal pressures.
