​​Aung Naing Myint

Aung Naing Myint, a novelist from Panmaw village and the author of Maya Kin Mae Zone (written under the pen name Min Di Par), was previously arrested for his writing. He was detained again on October 15, 2021, under allegations of being connected to the People’s Defense Forces (PDF), a civilian armed group opposing Myanmar’s military regime. Charged under Section 50 (j) of the Anti-Terrorism Law, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison with hard labor on February 25, 2022.
