Vicka Heidt

Vicka Heidt (she/her) is a junior at Georgetown University studying Government and Justice and Peace Studies. She is interested in reconstructing international law and institutions to effectively uplift human rights on the global stage. Her background as the daughter of a Russian immigrant and native Russian-speaker has provided her with an insight into Eurasia in particular, yet she is interested in all areas which are experiencing massive or systemic violations of human rights. Vicka’s passion for justice stems from her internships over the past couple of years at nonprofits, United Nations campaigns, think tanks, and political campaigns. On campus, Vicka can be found working at Georgetown’s Center for Social Justice as the Co-President of the Prison Outreach Organization or completing research with her professors. She is excited to continue her summer fellowship with PEN America this upcoming fall.
