Ruth Wilson Gilmore

Ruth Wilson Gilmore is Professor of Earth & Environmental Sciences, and American Studies, and Director of the Center for Place, Culture, and Politics, at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She has published and lectured widely on racial capitalism, the changing role of the state, and carceral geographies. She is co-founder of several social justice organizations.
