Julia Iskowitz

I am a thirty year old woman currently living in upstate New York. For as long as I can remember, writing has been both my creative outlet and my deepest connection to the world around me. It is also one of the things that helped me to do my time while I was locked up. My time in jail turned out to be a blessing in disguise on many levels. One of which was the time and the motivation to write about my experience. This incredible world in which we live is so filled with beauty and sadness that I feel compelled to express it through the imagery of words. I hope that my poetry and writing can serve as a light in the darkness. At the very least, it is my feeble attempt to touch the Mystery. Thank you.
