I was born in Amarillo, Texas, lived most of my life in Phoenix, Arizona. My family background was agrarian. I have received a Master’s Degree in Humanities since being locked up. Writing poetry has been an outlet for me since my teenage years.

toy soldiers arrayed for battle dirt clods piled high, piled ready hands work, hands arrange, the cattle a shout of challenge joyfully proclaims my hill, my clods, my dirt, my army hands move, hands laugh, with acclaim showers down upon ranks and files desperation, destruction from on high hands release, hands clutch, toys scatter smiles
