Greg Goodman

Greg Goodman loves words and weaving them into a poem or story. An obscure or interesting word is often all it takes to from that first tie from which he’ll construct a small mat or larger tapestry. “Glimpse” was inspired by a glance in the mirror and the word “tonsure,” as well as how much he’s aged and grown in prison. The metaphorical “trigger” he writes of is his tongue — at once quick, sharp, and mean, turned slow, dull, and more thoughtfully now by comparison and maturity.
