Chinelo Okparanta is the author of Happiness, Like Water, a collection of short stories. Chinelo’s writing has appeared in The New Yorker, GRANTA, and Tin House, among others. She has been nominated for a United States Artists Fellowship in Literature, long-listed for the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award, and short-listed for the Caine Prize for African Writing. Her story “America” was selected as a notable story for Best American Short Stories 2013.
