World Literature Speakers’ Bureau

World Literature Speakers’ Bureau

To promote an appreciation of world literature and cultivate global solidarity within the general public in the United States, PEN America’s Translation Committee members offer to speak at public libraries, public schools, community colleges, community groups, independent bookstores, and other non-profit entities serving the general public.

Our members give presentations on various topics related to the books they have translated and the cultures and nations in which they specialize. These presentations can occur via Zoom or in-person. Payment is not required for this service. Speakers appreciate donations and honoraria where available.

Below is the list of speakers, books, topics, and contact information for each speaker. This list will continue to be updated and expanded.

If you are interested in partnering with a Translation Committee member, please contact each speaker using the contact information in their profile.
