Rick Matzke

I am a 65-year-old pseudo-intellectual with a passion for writing, especially fiction because it offers me the opportunity to piss on everyone’s parade without actually getting anyone wet.

I’ve been published once under my pseudonym Nicholas Lage in a co-authored short story collection of “love on the darkness” tales titled The Creature in the Rose (BeWrite Books, UK 2004). Albeit most of my ranting and raving is incurred by the insomnia-induced surrealistic nightmares of a claustrophobic megalomaniac with far too much time on his hands.

I’m also the starting pitcher for our prison softball team, appropriately named Worst Nightmare.
