Michelle Gil-Montero studied at Brown University and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. She has published seven book translations, including most recently, This Blue Novel by Valerie Mejer Caso (Action Books, 2015), which was longlisted for the National Translation Award this year. She has one poetry chapbook, Attached Houses (Brooklyn Arts Press in 2013). She has been awarded fellowships from the NEA and Howard Foundation. A 2017 Fulbright Scholar, she is currently a visiting professor at the Maestría de Escritura Creativa at UNTREF in Buenos Aires. She is Associate Professor of English at Saint Vincent College.
