Kate Cammell is an Fall 2019/Spring 2020 intern for PEN America’s Prison and Justice Writing Program. Currently a master’s candidate at Columbia Journalism School, Kate writes about gender and sexuality, religion, social justice and the literary arts. Before attending Columbia, she studied creative writing at the University of Michigan and worked in publishing. In her free time, she loves practicing yoga, reading and being outdoors.
