John Quanrude was born in Waukon, a small town in Northeastern Iowa, where he has resided most of my life. He attended Waukon Senior High, Northeastern Iowa Community College, and the University of Iowa, where he received a B.A. in Cinema. He lived in Iowa City for many years, which is probably where he developed a passion for the arts. John has produced a handful of short films, and has written many short stories, two feature-length screenplays, and about one kajillion songs. He cannot draw anything. John is currently serving a 50 year sentence with a 70% mandatory for second degree murder at Anamosa State Penitentiary in Anamosa Iowa.
