Guy Nordenson

Guy Nordenson is a professor of engineering and architecture at Princeton University and a practicing structural engineer in New York. He has written and edited books on structure in architecture and climate adaptation including Structured Lineages: Learning from Japanese Structural Design and Structures of Coastal Resilience. At MoMA he co-curated Tall Buildings and instigated the workshop and exhibition Rising Currents. Notable engineering works include the Jubilee Church in Rome, the Santa Fe Opera House, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, The Museum of Modern Art 2004 Expansion, the Kimbell Art Museum, David Hammons’ Day’s End, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and over 200 other projects, including 45 museums. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, in Visual Arts
