Albert Ramos was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. He has been incarcerated for 19 years, and is a recent graduate of the College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, which he earned summa cum laude. He is now deployed to Lumberton Correctional where he serves as a Field Minister, and is an upcoming facilitator for cognitive behavior intervention, father accountability, and a meditation workshop. He is the author of an award-winning children’s book, Gavin Discovers the Secret to Happiness, for which all profits go toward a Buddhist prison program in the Spokane, WA area. Albert has written for several newsletters and magazines, including: Dharma Dispatch, The Loop, On the Wire, Life Recovery, and Compassion. He enjoys creative writing, soccer, and being grateful for wonderful family and friends.
