The PEN American Center has announced the lineup for its annual World PEN Voices Festival of International Literature, which will run from April 27 through May 3 in New York. Among the events, which will bring together 160 writers from 40 countries, is the Evolution/Revolution reading series on April 29, which will feature Edwidge Danticat, Salman Rushdie and Muriel Barbery, among other authors, reading in their original languages; an April 30 panel hosted by The New York Review of Books called “The Economic Crisis and How to Deal with It,” with Paul Krugman, George Soros and Nouriel Roubini and others; and the PEN Cabaret, a performance on May 2 featuring Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Sean Wilsey and other writers and performers.
