Matthew Feeney has had over 280 writings published since 2017, all done without use of the internet due to his serving an indeterminate sentence in Minnesota. Notable periodical credits include Rattle, The Analog Seea Review, and The Evening Street Review and inclusion in the books Upon Waking: 58 Voices Speak Out From the Shadows (Two Sisters Dreaming, 2019), InsideOut StoryLab: Boundaries and Bridges, Volume 1 (University of Alaska–Fairbanks, 2023), and A Prison Writer’s Guide to Media Writing (Prison Journalism Project, 2024). Matthew has received several writing awards, including from PEN America and a 2021 Pushcart Prize in Poetry nomination from Gival Press. His poem, “Always and Forever,” was composed into performance choral music and an OBJECT America project featuring the poem “Phone Home” was exhibited in Paris, Berlin, and Switzerland.
