Join us for a roundtable discussion with a diverse group of South Florida’s interfaith leaders on the growth of Christian Nationalism in the United States, its influence on anti-democratic and censorial trends, and how it has seeped into the book ban and educational freedom crisis in Florida.
This discussion will seek to build community connections through a deeper understanding of the threat of Christian Nationalism and the interfaith movement’s role in protecting democratic principles. The goal is to provide participants with the tools necessary to identify Christian Nationalism and have productive and factual conversations about these learnings with their communities.
The roundtable discussion will not only provide invaluable insight from a diverse group of interfaith leaders, but will encourage and welcome participation and sharing from attendees. The roundtable discussion will be followed by disinformation and digital safety training from PEN America. Participants will leave with a tool kit to have community conversations about these topics with their own communities and further defend against the misinformation and disinformation that propels Christian Nationalism.
Admission is free and lunch and snacks will be provided.
