PEN America Winter 2019 Authors’ Evening with Rachel Elise Barkow

This dinner will be hosted by Francis Greenburger at his home on Tuesday, March 12, 2019.

Rachel Elise Barkow will discuss her latest book Prisoners of Politics: Breaking the Cycle of Mass Incarceration, a set of prescriptions for the American criminal justice system based in a thorough and refreshingly ideology-free cost–benefit analysis of how to cut mass incarceration while maintaining public safety. She points to specific policies that are deeply problematic on moral grounds and have failed to end the cycle of recidivism.

Tickets to this dinner are considered a 100% tax-deductible donation to PEN America and are available on a limited basis. Please click below to purchase your ticket(s) and reserve your seat(s).

The PEN America Authors’ Evenings are nights of literary dinners in private homes and intimate settings. Please visit the Authors’ Evenings webpage for our full calendar of dinners.
