*This Event is Sold Out*

You are invited to a private dinner with writer Colm Tóibín .

The dinner will be hosted by Wendy Gimbel & Doug Liebhafsky on Thursday, April 13, at 7:30pm at their Greenwich Village home.

Colm will discuss his novel House of Names, which is scheduled for release in May 2017. Attendees will receive an advanced copy of the book, which brings a modern sensibility to the ancient story of Clytemnestra. The author gives this extraordinary character new life, so that we not only believe in her thirst for revenge, but applaud it.

Colm Tóibín is an Irish novelist, short story writer, essayist, playwright, journalist, critic and poet. He is currently Irene and Sidney B. Silverman Professor of the Humanities at Columbia University, and he has succeeded Martin Amis as professor of creative writing at the University of Manchester. In 2011, he was named one of Britain’s Top 300 Intellectuals by The Observer.

Seating at this dinner is limited and available by making a donation to PEN America.
