This event is being hosted in the home of Leah Pisar on the Upper East Side.

Join us for an intimate evening with Walter Russell Mead discussing The Arc of a Covenant: The United States, Israel, and the Fate of the Jewish People. In his latest work, Mead, James Clark Chace Professor of Foreign Affairs and Humanities at Bard College, demolishes the myths that both pro-Zionists and anti-Zionists have fostered over the years. He makes clear that Zionism has always been a divisive subject in the American Jewish community, and that American Christians have often been the most fervent supporters of a Jewish state, citing examples from the time of J.P. Morgan and John D. Rockefeller to the present day.

Tickets are $350 to attend this evening. Following your RSVP, you will be sent the address for the evening. The donation is considered 100% tax-deductible and supports PEN America’s mission to defend writers and free expression at a time of unprecedented need. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.
