On the Edge: Writing in Post-Reunified Germany

May 1 | Deutsches Haus NYU | NYC

With Clemens Meyer and Antje Rávic Strubel; moderated by Zaia Alexander

Antje Rávic Strubel was fifteen when the Berlin Wall fell and has written several award-winning novels with characters who are on the edge. Clemens Meyer burst onto the German literary scene in 2006 with Als wir träumten (While we were dreaming), a novel of disaffected young men in Leipzig at the end of the ‘80s. They’ll read from their work and talk about what it’s like to belong to the Post-Wall generation.

Cosponsored by Deutsches Haus, at NYU
