Join PEN America for a training session on how to defend against online harassment at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Writers and journalists are facing unprecedented levels of hate and abuse online. Building on PEN America’s Online Harassment Field Manual, these trainings equip writers and journalists, as well as their employers and allies, with tools, strategies, and resources to defend against online harassment, from doxing and trolling to threats and hateful speech. These sessions facilitate discussion about the impact of online abuse and how to fight back in order to empower writers and journalists to continue exercising their free expression rights.
