*This Event is Sold Out*

You are invited to a private dinner with writer Amor Towles.

The dinner will be hosted by Lorna and Edwin Goodman at their Upper East Side home on Thursday, February 2nd, 2017 at 7:30pm.

Amor will discuss his novel, A Gentleman in Moscow, which tells the story of Count Alexander Rostov. In one beautifully rendered scene after another, this singular novel casts a spell as it relates the count’s endeavor to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a man of purpose.

Praise for A Gentleman in Moscow: “In all ways a great novel, a nonstop pleasure brimming with charm, personal wisdom, and philosophic insight . . .This is a book in which the cruelties of the age can’t begin to erase the glories of real human connection and the memories it leaves behind. A masterly encapsulation of modern Russian history, this book more than fulfills the promise of Towles’ stylish debut, Rules of Civility.” — Kirkus Reviews

Amor Towles is the author of the New York Times bestseller Rules of Civility and the short story cycle “Temptations of Pleasure” published in the Paris Review 112.

Seating at this dinner is limited and available by making a dedicated donation to PEN America.
