UPDATE: Following increased concerns about the COVID-19 virus and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our hosts, authors, guests, and staff, our remaining Winter/Spring 2020 Authors’ Evening dinners are being rescheduled for the fall. We are closely following the guidance being provided by health agencies at the city, state, and federal levels and will continue to update this site with new dates as they are determined. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Louis Begley will discuss his upcoming book The New Life of Hugo Gardner, a spot-on satire of the world of New York’s aging elite that uncovers the unexpected delights a late-in-life change can offer.

George Packer will discuss his latest book Our Man: Richard Holbrooke and the End of the American Century, a nonfiction narrative that is both intimate and epic in its revelatory portrait of an extraordinary and deeply flawed man and the elite spheres of society and government he inhabited.

Tickets to this dinner are considered a 100% tax-deductible donation to PEN America and are available on a limited basis. Please click below to purchase your ticket(s) and reserve your seat(s).
