PEN America Winter 2019 Authors’ Evening with Victoria Johnson

This dinner will be hosted by Deborah Needleman and Jacob Weisberg at their home on Monday, February 25, 2019. 

Victoria Johnson will discuss her latest book American Eden: David Hosack, Botany, and Medicine in the Garden of the Early Republic, a finalist for the 2018 National Book Award in nonfiction, which reveals the untold story of David Hosack, the personal physician to Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr whose dream to build America’s first botanical garden inspired the young Republic.
