PEN America Fall 2018 Authors’ Evening with Porochista Khakpour

This dinner will be hosted by Judith Hannan in her Upper East Side home on Thursday, December 6, 2018. Cocktails will begin at 7:00pm and dinner will be served at 7:30pm.

Porochista Khakpour will discuss her latest book Sick, an honest and beautifully-rendered memoir of chronic illness, misdiagnosis, addiction, and the myth of full recovery that details her struggles with late-stage Lyme disease. Sick is Khakpour’s arduous, emotional journey—as a woman, a writer, and a lifelong sufferer of undiagnosed health problems—through the chronic illness that perpetually left her a victim of anxiety, living a life stymied by an unknown condition.

Tickets to this dinner are considered a 100% tax-deductible donation to PEN America and are available on a limited basis. Please click below to purchase your ticket(s) and reserve your seat(s).
