Laura Lucio Ramirez earned a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. She is the Assistant Director of Academic and Research Services at Nova Southeastern University’s Alvin Sherman Library, where she leads a team of librarians that provide instructional services, reference, and outreach to students, faculty, and staff, as well as the local community. She also serves as a library representative on NSU’s Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (BEDI) Advisory Council, where she assists with original programming and events. She hails from South Texas, and began her career as a librarian at Texas A & M University – Kingsville.
