I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran fighting the onslaught of multiple sclerosis and dementia. My hobbies are chess and gardening. While confined to a wheelchair, I maintain my strength through a rigorous daily exercise program and writing. I now have completed one Star Trek novel, Enterprise Lost, and the Manta Ray, in addition to more than two dozen short stories that I hope to put into an anthology by mid-summer. “Criminal Injustice” is one short part of a five-part series that I am currently working on.

Criminal Injustice
Many important lessons were taught by Hurricane Katrina, which demolished a large area along the gulf coast and killed more than one thousand people in Louisiana and Mississippi in the summer of 2005. Foremost was the importance of evacuation efforts to protect lives. Most government agencies have since improved their strategies to safeguard the lives
