Eva Gasteazoro is a writer and performance artist, translator, and teacher, originally from Nicaragua. She has lived in New York City since 1983. Her theater work has been produced internationally and throughout the United States. The Forgotten Dialect of the Heart/El dialecto olvidado del corazón—published by DíazGrey Editores (NY, 2014)—is her selection and translation into Spanish of poems by Jack Gilbert. Gasteazoro’s first novel, Todos queríamos morir, will be published in Nicaragua this coming month.
