Primary Logo
PEN America’s logo is made up of the PEN America brand colors and typeface: a red quote mark and black text when on a light background, and a white or red quote mark and white text when on a dark background.
- When using the logo, never stray from the color palette, ensure sufficient contrast on colored backgrounds, never stretch or distort the logo, never rearrange elements of the design, and never change the text.
- The vertical & horizontal space around the logo should equal approximately the inner height of the box.
Alternative Logos
PEN America’s logo box can also be combined with the tagline “The Freedom to Write.” The above instructions for using the primary PEN America logo also applying to using the alternative logos.
Small Format Logos
For use only when the primary logo will appear too small for “PEN AMERICA” to be easily legible.
- The box of our logo should never appear less than 7/16” tall in printed materials and no less than 32.5px tall on screen.
- When used at a size smaller than 1/2” tall or 32px, please use a small format logo to keep “PEN America” legible.
