Award-winning poet, literary critic, translator, and journalist Sepideh Jodeyri has published many works. However, it was her translation of Blue Is the Warmest Color by Julie Maroh into Persian that made her persona non grata in Iran. Already facing a campaign of public persecution for her own writing and reformist views, Jodeyri fled iran for Italy, Prague, and ultimately the United States, where she continues to write and work in exile.
