Nguyen Lan Thang has written commentary on current events in Vietnam and around the world, history, and philosophy via his blog on Radio Free Asia since at least 2013. He was arrested on suspicion of spreading “anti-state propaganda” in July 2022. On April 12, 2023, he was sentenced to six years imprisonment.
