Nasim Soltanbeygi

Soltanbeygi is a reporter and labor activist. In January 2023, she was arrested at the airport and taken to an unknown location. In August, she was sentenced to three years and six months in prison for “propaganda” and “collusion” related to her reporting. She was transferred to prison in November 2023 and temporarily released for medical reasons in March 2024. She was also banned from joining political organizations and leaving the country for two years. In September 2025, her lawyer announced that her sentence had been completed due to legal pardon.
