Mohammad Maljoo

Mohammad Maljoo is a leftist economist and translator. In November 2025, he was summoned to appear before the authorities and had his home raided and searched. Maljoo’s electronic devices and papers were confiscated, and he faced multiple rounds of interrogations. Maljoo’s targeting was part of a broader crackdown on leftist intellectuals who were affiliated with Parviz Sedaghat’s journal, Political Economy Critique. Maljoo had been a contributor to the publication.
