On November 21, 2019, Saudi blogger Fuad Al-Farhan was arrested, following a raid on his home, during which all of his devices were seized. After a brief detention lasting a matter of days, Al-Farhan was released later that month. Previously, he had also been detained from October 10, 2007 to April 26, 2008 for an article he published on his blog discussing the advantages and disadvantages of being Muslim, though he was never formally charged.
