Writing under the pen name Jhon Silver, Palchys operated the website 1863x, where he published articles critical of both Belarusian and Russian authorities. In 2016, he was jailed for his dissident writings, and again in 2020 for his “extremist” content on Telegram. After spending 15 months in detention, he was sentenced to 13 years in prison in December 2021, marking another chapter in his ongoing persecution for his anti-government expression and activism.
