Cengiz Erdinç

Cengiz Erdinç is a columnist and the writer of several books. His work focuses on organized crime and corruption. In November 2023, he was detained following a raid on his home. He was accused of “publicly disseminating misleading information” due to social media posts about a Turkish intelligence report. He was released the day after his arrest, but given a travel ban and faced trial. At a hearing in January 2025, Erdinç was acquitted.
