Behrad Ali Kenari

Behrad Ali Kenari is a rapper from Ahwaz known for his protest rap songs. He was first arrested in November 2022 in connection with protests in the country in the case of Ruholla Ajamian, who was killed in the Karaj riots. While he was released on amnesty on April 7, 2023, Ali Kenari was re-arrested on May 14, 2024 and held incommunicado for 10 days before being temporarily released. On August 24, 2024, Ali Kenari was sentenced to 6 months in prison for "propaganda against the regime" through "collaborating with foreign media" against Iran.
