Rangriz is a translator, independent researcher, and activist who advocates for labor rights and women’s rights. She has been targeted by the Iranian government for years due to her writing and activism. She was arrested in June 2024 and sentenced to 7 years and 7 months in prison and banned from social media for “propaganda” charges. The charges were due to her translations of Argentine feminist Véronica Gago. She left Iran in early 2025.
