Amin Baraka

Amin Baraka is a Palestinian opinion journalist who was arrested by Israeli forces on January 25, 2024 at a checkpoint in southern Gaza. He was held without charge for approximately 13 months and transferred between multiple detention facilities, where he reported ill-treatment and interrogation over his journalistic work. He was released on February 15, 2025 as part of a prisoner-hostage exchange.
