Poet, journalist, and activist Ahmad Farhad Shah has been under surveillance for the past two years. On May 14, 2024, he was abducted by unidentified individuals. Prior to his disappearance, Shah posted on his social media about receiving threats from the Inter-Services Intelligence for his criticism of Pakistani authorities. On May 29, 2024, he was mysteriously found in Dhirkot Police Station, and on June 10, 2024, Shah was sent to jail on a 14-day remand on charges of terrorism.
