On July 15, 2011, Abd Al-Akram Al-Sakka was arrested from his home without a warrant. His whereabouts and the conditions of his detention were unknown, and Al-Sakka was last seen by a fellow detainee at a military court in 2012. After over 13 years without official acknowledgment, Al-Sakka’s family received a death certificate from the civil registry in Daraya, dated November 3, 2014. The cause of death was not specified. This document was only made available to the family in August 2024, confirming his death in detention.
