Yerandy Fleites Pérez

Yerandy Fleites Pérez is a playwright and professor. He was born in Cuba and graduated from Havana’s Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in 2006. He has published the books El gallo electrónico (The Electric Rooster), Jardín de héroes (Garden of Heroes), Un bello sino (A Beautiful Fate), Antígona (Antigone), and Mi tío el exiliado (My Uncle, the Exile). Among his most-produced works are The Electric Rooster, Garden of Heroes, Antigone, God Was Not Antonioni (performance), and My Uncle, the Exile. He is the Virgilio Piñera Honorary Chair at the ISA’s school of theatrical art.
