Robert Ives

Robert Ives was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He joined a gang at the age of 12 and by 17 was sentence to 26 years in prison. Upon entering the system he serves two of his first four years in segregation. Through self-reflection he began to re-prioritize things in his life and made a concerted effort to transform himself into a better human being while focusing on rebuilding relationships with loved ones and the community which has been made fragile by years of incarceration. A journey he continues on today.

600 Days of Silence

What I most like to talk about with Wilson is music. He has an extensive knowledge about all genres. I enjoy these conversations the most because they lift my spirits more than any other.
